For more than two years, I worked as Lead Environment Artist at Skydance on Swapped. As you can imagine, after its debut, I’m thrilled with how the film looks and the love is getting from the audience. We spent many months creating every plant, tree bark, rock, and all the vegetation that shapes this world entirely from scratch. I also led the development of the moss look in a dedicated task force, which was particularly challenging, but something I’m extremely proud of.
It was especially fun, while also complex, to give each element a unified and realistic behavior using highly graphic, low-frequency textures and patterns that are far from reality. And I’m incredibly happy with the visual impact everything creates when it all comes together.
When I started working on the project during the pre-production phase, collaborating very closely with the art team, I immediately knew the film’s visual language was something special. Huge thanks to everyone who worked alongside me and gave me this opportunity! Here are a few screenshots so you can enjoy the work we created :)
